What is TYPOlight?

            TYPOlight is a free web-based content management system for small to medium sized websites. It first appeared in 2004 and today has a growing group of users. Although the name sounds similar like TYPO3 TYPOlight has absolutely nothing to do with it and is not split them, but a completely independent development. TYPOlight was developed in Germany by Leo Feyer and can be downloaded free of charge from its project page.

          Although TYPO3 is because of its power our preferred CMS, we have decided to include us, even TYPOlight in our portfolio. ) For simpler projects (or inexperienced editors is a slimmer CMS often more appropriate. This is exactly the fact TYPOlight: concept, architecture, functionality, usability, design and documentation - everything solved in an outstanding manner.TYPOlight covers all the standard features that allows a customer-oriented service and produces accessible, search engine friendly pages.

         If significantly less for TYPOlight extensions are available as for TYPO3 so this is rather seen as a benefit, because all the important functions (user registration, news, newsletters, and many more) are already included in the core of TYPOlight.
